We are currently recruiting for the above post and seeking a dedicated professional, with experience in quality catering environments, to further their career in our country house and 3 AA rosette restaurant.
Tasks will cover Restaurant, Bar and Function service, customer relations, staff training, supervision, discipline, stock control, ordering, profit, maintenance, safety, cleanliness, health & hygiene, and any other duties that may be required to ensure the successful & efficient operation of your department.
In this post you will be expected to work in a hands on capacity due to the style of the business and be personally involved in the day-to-day service and operation of the hotel. You will also act as hotel duty manager on occasions, working closely with the Kitchen and having some responsibilities in Housekeeping & Reception departments.
On average we do 30 breakfast, 10 lunches, 10 afternoon teas & 25 dinners each week day during summer, 30 – 50 dinners Friday & Saturday all year, occasional weddings (up to 120 guests, which are on exclusive use basis), dinner parties and conference groups.
Hours: Five days out of seven doing an average of 45 - 50 hours per week after deduction for meal breaks, or whatever is necessary as you will have some responsiblity for staffing and efficiency within your department. Generally on four days your shifts start at 12:30 and finish at the end of service, and on one day per week you normally do a shorter shift typically 17:00 to finish, but these shifts may be varied.

Area: Roman Camp Hotel, Callander, Function Restaurant, Fine Dining Restaurant, Lounge areas, Cocktail and Lounge Bar, Still rooms and ancillary service areas.
Duties: As a member of the waiting department your main duties will include, service of Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Afternoon Teas to the general public in all front of house areas. Bar work, Wine service, Room service, as well as cleaning and maintenance of the above areas will also be part of your job requirements. The restaurant department operates seven days per week from 07:30 to midnight: with shifts of varying lengths from 4 hours upwards.

Area: Roman Camp Hotel, Callander, Reception Office.
Duties: Tasks will include all work within the Reception office department. You will have responsibilities for the day-to-day operation of the reception office, working closely with other department Managers. Responsibilities will cover areas of administration, correspondence, reservations, switchboard, secretarial work, accounting, and security, cost control, sales and promotion. You will have direct contact with hotel guests and will meet and greet customers on arrival at the hotel.
Qualifications: Good personality and friendly attitude with a willingness to please your customers, previous Office or Reception experience essential.Hours: Part Time: Minimum 2 days per week 08:00 to 17:00, additional hours may be available at busy periods or in other departments.
